Manual Medicine International has been an integral part of the educational landscape for manual medicine practitioners and final year students. Since 2012, we have taught thousands of students across Australasia, UK, US and Asia. We were amongst the very first to offer courses specialising in dry needling to manual medicine practitioners, and have continued to seek out new research and techniques in all areas from the very best around the world.

Drawing on years of clinical experience, teaching and research, we endeavour to bring the very best lecturers who are among the leaders in their respective professions from all around the world. They have a wealth of clinical experience and skills from a wide variety of modalities. Most importantly, they are practising clinicians.

Dr Jon Marshall (AU)

Founding Director and Lecturer

Dr. Jon Marshall is an accomplished practitioner and educator with 18 years of experience as an Osteopath and Acupuncturist.

He has lectured at institutions such as RMIT University, in the Chinese Medicine and Osteopathy departments, and is part of the faculty at Tokyo School of Osteopathy, Japan. He was appointed Adjunct Associate Professor at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2023.

He founded Manual Medicine Australasia in 2012 and has since taught thousands of students in Australia and abroad. Driven by his vision to provide quality needling and manual medicine courses, Dr. Jon Marshall seeks to make the very best teachers in the field accessible to manual medicine practitioners and students.

Lisa DeStefano D.O. (US)

International Guest Lecturer

Lisa is Professor, Program Director, and Chairperson at the Department of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, Michigan State University (MSU) College of Osteopathic Medicine, as well as having her own practice in East Lansing, MI.

With over 29 years of experience in the medical field, Lisa specialises in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine.

She is the author of The Principles of Manual Medicine textbook, which is used as a course guide for the Manual Medicine Series at MSU.

David Lintonbon D.O. (UK)

International Guest Lecturer

David has over 35 years’ experience in manual medicine practice and teaching. He is currently senior lecturer at the British College of Osteopathic Medicine London UK, and also teaches throughout the UK, Latvia, Lebanon, Poland, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Dubai, Bahrain, Singapore, Australia, South Africa and Canada.

David is the author of ‘The Handbook of Manual Medicine, Art of HVT’ eBook series and ‘The Art of HVT’ DVD on grade 5 manipulations of the spine and periphery.
